As we close out another great year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all we accomplished.
One of our priorities is to help convene the kidney community in the Pacific Northwest to learn from each other, develop important relationships, and advocate on how best to serve patients.
This year we pushed ourselves to explore new ways to connect and share. And the results were promising. We co-authored three blogs with partners (Boost Oregon, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Washington, and Donate Life Northwest), hosted one Council Conversation with Dr. Rajnish Mehrotra, shared more than eight resources and created 54 district factsheets.
In addition, we supported two pieces of legislation and presented an overview of our “Dialysis After Disaster” resource to the Oregon Senate Committee on Veterans and Emergency Preparedness.
And perhaps more importantly, we continued to share the stories of what makes our Pacific Northwest kidney community unique with the creation of seven new patient profiles and two dialysis nurse profiles (See Allan's story and Kelsi's story).
Our success this year isn't possible without the support of our Board, our partners, and this amazing community. Thank you for all your hard work to support the Pacific Northwest kidney community. We look forward to continuing our efforts in 2023!
